This ceremony involves a playful element where the bride and groom attempt to garland each other three times while playfully trying to dodge the tothe other’s attempt. Adding a heartwarming touch, both the bride and groom are lifted onto the shoulders of their respective maternal uncles, signifying the continued support of siblings towards their mothers.
Oonjal:
The bride and the groom sit on a beautiful decorated swing. Friends and relatives display their talent in classical music, providing festivity to the atmosphere. The Oonjal (swing) signifies the ups and downs that the couple will encounter in their married life.
